Alex Cho, MD, MBA
Alex Cho, MD, MBA is the clinical director for the Duke Telehealth Office, in the Duke University Health System (DUHS). He is a fellowship-trained general internist and an attending physician at the Duke Outpatient Clinic, the largest adult medicine safety-net clinic in the Duke system, where he helps leads clinic-based innovation and population health efforts. He also works clinically in the emergency department at the Durham VA Medical Center.
Previously, Dr Cho served as special assistant to the chancellor for health affairs for Duke University, has also served as part of the leadership team for the Duke Primary Care Research network and as the associate program director for ambulatory care for the Duke Internal Medicine Residency Program. He was also core faculty for the Center for Applied Genomics and Precision Medicine, and an affiliate of the Duke Global Health Institute.
He received his MBA from the Duke Fuqua School of Business. Prior to coming to Duke, he completed an internal medicine residency at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Center, went to medical school at the University of Minnesota, and received his undergraduate degree from Harvard.
