Duke Clinical & Translational Research Institute brings together a wealth of resources from across campus to help investigators at any stage of the translational research process. See the services available through Duke CTSI.

Biostatistics Core

The Clinical Research Unit Biostatistics Core is provided for Duke Family Medicine and Community Health faculty and affiliates. The core offers statistical advice and collaboration in study design and data analysis. Specific types of support include:

  • Grant preparation, including the possibility of a statistician named as a co-investigator
  • Study design including sample size and power calculations
  • Statistical analysis
  • Manuscript preparation
  • General statistical advice

Institutional Review Board

Duke Institutional Review Board's mission is to ensure the protection of human research subjects by conducting scientific and ethical review of research studies while providing leadership and education for the research community.

Medical Center Library Resources

Medical Center librarians are available for various training and consultation needs. A librarian can:

  • Guest lecture in your class or journal club
  • Integrate evidence-based practice and information literacy into your course or curriculum
  • Collaborate on systematic reviews of the literature and grant preparation
  • Consult on literature search strategies and resource selection
