Duke Family Medicine resident Aaron George receives AAFP award

Aaron George, DO, third-year resident with Duke Family Medicine, was awarded the 2014 Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education by the American Academy of Family Physicians at its annual meeting last week in Washington, D.C. The AAFP Assembly, one of the largest gatherings of primary care providers in the country, was held Oct. 21-25, 2014.

The AAFP’s Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education Award recognizes outstanding family medicine residents for their leadership, civic involvement, exemplary patient care and aptitude for and interest in family medicine.
