The Office for the Promotion of PA Practice was founded in 2019 in the Division of PA Studies, with the aim of enhancing the professional identity and opportunities for all PAs at Duke.
PAs at Duke practice in any number of clinical locations, including Duke’s three hospitals, clinics and more, while some also teach in the Duke Physician Assistant Program and precept PA students, as well.
A major objective of OPPAP is to build a nexus for collaboration among PA education, PA clinical practice, and PA research at Duke.
Duke PA Summits
Duke’s Office for the Promotion of PA Practice hosted its first formal event, a Duke PA Summit, on October 26, 2019. This was a day of collaboration, networking, and CME for, by, and about all PAs employed at Duke.
