Effective May 1, 2020, Chester Rodriguez, Ph.D., DABT, ERT, assumed the role of director of the Duke Toxicology Program, succeeding Thomas O. Brock III, Ph.D., DABT.
Rodriguez earned his Master of Science in Chemistry from San Francisco State University in 1999 and his doctorate in pharmacology and toxicology from UCLA in 2005. He joined the Duke Toxicology Program in November 2018. He previously served as a manager of risk assessment and toxicology at the Coca-Cola Company’s headquarters in Atlanta, Ga. He also spent over eight years with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency specializing in human health chemical risk assessment.
Brock will continue to work as a special consultant for the toxicology program in the months to come.
