In June 2025, the Duke Family Medicine Residency Program recognized its eight 2025 graduates.
In addition, class year awards were presented. These awards are named in honor or memory of prior graduates of the Duke Family Medicine Residency Program and awarded to a recipient who best epitomizes qualities that reflect the mission of Duke Family Medicine and Community Health.
The eight graduates:
- Pauline Bagatelas, MD, who was honored with the Harvey Estes Resident Humanism Award and the Resident Teaching Award.
- Blake Kruger, MD, who received the Resident Scholarship Award
- Onyema Nwanaji Enwerem, MD, receipient of the William “Terry” Kane Award
- Andrew Romaine, MD, who received the Resident Outreach Award.
- Celeste Rousseau, MD
- Nao Souma, MD (Rural Program)
- Leah Topper, MD
- Stephanie Wilcher, MD (Rural Program).
Other award recipients:
First year resident Anisa Eshraghi, MD, received the Thomas Matheson Award
Second-year resident Macy Marcucci, MD, was honored with the Samuel “Woody” Warburton Award.
