Libby Carver, DNP, FNP-BC, joined the Department of Family Medicine & Community Health this summer as a clinician working in the Duke Employee Occupational Health & Wellness clinic. She earned her family nurse practitioner certificate from Duke University in 2018, her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Gardner-Webb University in 2015, a Master in Clinical Research Management from Duke University in 2002, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1998.
Where were you practicing/working previous to Duke? What was your role there?
I was faculty at Watts School of Nursing for 10 years where I taught nursing students how to provide inpatient care.
Why did you choose to join Duke Family Medicine & Community Health?
I have passions for occupational health, international travel medicine, and tobacco cessation.
Is there any other information you would like to share?
I am a mother of two and live in Graham.
What is your clinical focus/what types of patients will you be taking care of at Duke? At what clinic/locations will you be working?
I will be working in Duke South in the employee health clinic.
