Wellness emphasis, residents and faculty, location (my hometown), rotation options.
In your opinion, what makes Duke Family Medicine special?
Community feel in an urban academic center with great faculty and resources.
What strengths or skills do you have that could be of benefit to the community?
Great listener and compassionate, osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM), interest in integrative medicine/alternative options for treatment other than medication.
What are you passionate about?
Improving people's overall health and learning more about medicine.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Exercise (walking, gym, swimming), spending time with loved ones, painting/art, cleaning.
If you have lived in the area for awhile, what is the best part of living in the Durham/Triangle area?
Suburban feel where you get restaurants, shopping, entertainment (i.e., the Durham Performing Arts Center), without as bad traffic as big cities.
What is something interesting that not many people know about you?
I love attending social events although I may come off more introverted.
