
Fatima Zaidi, PhD, joined the Duke Toxicology Program in September 2024. Her professional expertise encompasses development and stability testing of pharmaceuticals, evaluation of drug-induced toxicity using in-vitro and preclinical models, and omics technologies. With extensive client-facing experience, Dr. Zaidi has provided scientific expertise in study design, complex data analysis and visualization, report writing, and presentations. Zaidi’s emerging skills include process improvement and automation through artificial intelligence approaches.
Dr. Zaidi holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Master of Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University College of Pharmacy, Punjab University (Pakistan). She also earned a Master of Molecular Biology and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from George Mason University (USA). Additionally, she earned a professional certificate in Applied Data Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and training in multi-omics data analysis from Columbia University.
