What are your career goals?

I plan to pursue a career in primary care and academic medicine.

What attracted you to the Duke Family Medicine Residency Program?

I love the diversity of the central NC community. The faculty are amazing teachers and mentors, and with Duke being a large multi-specialty academic institution, I feel I can hone my skills for a future in academic medicine.

In your opinion, what makes Duke Family Medicine special?

Being able to build lasting connections with the surrounding community through events and specialized programs that bring medical care directly to the people we serve.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about education. I enjoy educating my patients about ways to that help them take ownership of their health and encouraging future physicians and colleagues to strive to be the best in their careers.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I enjoy hiking, cooking, running, country music, and Carolina Basketball. 

What is something interesting that not many people know about you?

I was a member of my high school bowling team.
