Meet Beth-Anne Blue, Ph.D.
Beth Anne-Blue, Ph.D., joined the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health as assistant director of the Duke Personal Assistance Service (PAS) in August. Blue received both her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in Palo Alto, Calif., in 1994 and 1995, respectively.
Jeffrey Bytomski Named Director of Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship
Effective Nov. 1, 2019, Jeffrey Bytomski, DO, professor of family medicine and community health, began serving as director of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. He returns to the role of fellowship director—which he previously held from 2003 to 2010—after the departure of Tracy Ray, M.D., from the role earlier this year.

Welcome Fan Zhou, M.D., M.S., MPH, as faculty in the Division of Student Health. Zhou earned an M.D. from Peking Union Medical College in 1997, an M.S. from Penn State University in 2002, and an MPH from University of Pittsburgh in 2002.

Debra Whiteheart, MHS, PA-C, has been named assistant medical director of Duke Family Medicine Center, effective immediately. Whiteheart is a 2008 graduate of the Duke Physician Assistant Program, and has worked with the clinic since 2009.

Alicia R. Bolden, DMSc, MPH, PA-C, joined the Department of Family Medicine & Community as assistant professor in the Duke Physician Assistant Program, effective July 1. She earned a Doctor of Medical Sciences from the University of Lynchburg in 2019, a Master of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University in 2016, and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Florida in 2005.
