My name is Eleanor Enegeh Bate but most people call me Enegeh. My family is from Cameroon in West Africa, but I was born in Oklahoma City and grew up in Houston, TX. Over the last decade, I have lived in many different places including Guadalajara, NY, NJ and AZ. Most recently I lived in Phoenix for the last 5 years and had the awesome privilege to live and work on the San Carlos Indian reservation (located 2 hours east of Phoenix) for one of those years while waiting to get into residency. I completed residency in family medicine at the Creighton University Family Medicine Residency Program in Phoenix. In my free time I enjoy exercising (boxing, jogging, and walking/hiking—although I have a healthy fear of heights), puzzling (I subscribe to a self-created, non-evidence-based theory of “a puzzle a day helps keep the dementia away…”) and hanging with friends/family.
