Residencies

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health offers two Family Medicine residencies and one in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. The Duke Family Medicine Residency focuses on developing physician leaders through training in leadership, research, and population health, and also has the option of participating in the CARiNG-StARR Pathway for Alzheimer’s-related research. The Rural Family Medicine Residency is dedicated to transforming rural healthcare in North Carolina by preparing innovative, community-focused physicians committed to health equity and advocacy. The Occupational and Environmental Medicine Residency trains board-certified physicians equipped to deliver expert health services across diverse workplace and environmental settings.
