What are your career goals?

To integrate public health skills and community-based primary care in a manner that yields improved health for an urban underserved community.

What attracted you to the Duke Family Medicine Residency Program?

DFM offers strong clinical training with an emphasis on practicing primary care and public health in a safe learning environment.

In your opinion, what makes Duke Family Medicine special?

DFM's focus on health equity, community health, and providing a safe, diverse training space where learners are treated with dignity and respect make it feel particularly special.

What strengths or skills do you have that could be of benefit to the community?

The ability to understand and relate to--or at minimum, empathize with--people from different walks of life helps me be an asset to the community.

What are you passionate about?

Addressing health inequities & improving the overall fitness of the Black community .

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Hiking, sharing meals with friends (home-cooked or at a new restaurant), & engaging in a variety of personal fitness activities

What is something interesting that not many people know about you?

I attended three different high schools and split my childhood between two households.

So far, what has surprised you most about Duke?

The kindness of everyone I've met both in the clinic and on hospital floors.
