Durham Community Health Indicators Project Publishes Health Data for the First Time
DataWorks NC, in support of Durham’s Community Health Indicators Project, is publishing Durham’s first public neighborhood-level dataset on chronic health conditions. The data, published in Durham’s Neighborhood Compass and in a new Health Indicators Project website, currently cover type 2 diabetes and will soon expand to include stroke and other conditions. Division of Community Health Welcomes Fellows to Benefits Enrollment Center

Meet Jeanna Bateson, MMS, PA-C
Jeanna Bateson, MMS, PA-C, joined the department as a physician assistant in July and works at Duke Family Medicine Center. Bateson received her Master of Medical Science in 2015 from the Wake Forest School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program.
Meet Natalie Tammen, MHS, PA-C
Natalie Tammen, MHS, PA-C, joined the department as a physician assistant in June and will be splitting her time between Duke Family Medicine Center and Walltown Neighborhood Clinic. Tammen is a 2017 alumna of the Duke Physician Assistant Program.
Nichole Capitanio Named Director of Personal Assistance Service
Nichole Capitanio assumes the role of director for Duke’s Personal Assistance Service (PAS) on April 16. She previously served as the director for staff and employee assistance programs at the Cleveland Clinic, where she had been since 2005. During that time she served in various leadership positions, worked closely with physicians, and managed a team of 13 professionals to provide psychological health and wellness programs for physicians, scientists, nurses and other staff members at the Cleveland Clinic.
